We are Magda, Josep and our four children. We open our home, a three-storey manor house with side galleries and a sgraffito façade in the style of colonial caribbean houses. More than 1,200 m² built on a 50,000 m² estate.
The old farmhouse and cellar are now the residence of the owners. The rest of the house is for guest use. There are 9 spacious bedrooms, as well as 3 living rooms and 2 dining rooms. In good weather, the terraces are also used for al fresco dining.
We also have large rooms adjacent to the farmhouse that can be used for meetings, or any kind of activity.
There are references, that the house already existed at the beginning of the 16th century. The first owner was Antoni Grau Castellà. Until the mid-nineteenth century the house was a farmhouse with agricultural exploitation, based on horticulture and vineyards. Over three centuries, the house grew.
In 1858 the Casadellà family acquired the property and carried out a major reform in the “Indiano” colonial style. The owners were merchants who had made their fortune in the Spanish Caribbean colonies.
In 1918 Josep Botey i Argimon, son of Premià de Dalt and belonging to the Catalan industrial class of the early twentieth century, bought the mansion and made some renovations inside, leaving the façade intact.
From this period is the romantic garden with long paths of cypresses, almond trees and olive trees that border the vineyards and that remain in production until 1970.
In 2006 important reforms were made so that our guests can enjoy this centenary building with the maximum comforts.
The house is located in the middle of a five-hectare estate, which includes an orchard, fields and a Mediterranean pine forest, all surrounded by gardens.
Most likely the garden was an early design by the famous landscape designer Nicolau Rubió i Tudorí, a close friend of the Botey family.
Throughout the estate you can walk along wide paths that lead to a variety of charming corners such as the “Safareig Rodó”, the Pergola, the Virgin, the Nierikot, you can walk up to “Els Pins” thrugh the “Torrent” or the Stairs of the Cypress go down the path of “El Bosquet”.
An old pond in front of the house has been converted into a swimming pool. You can relax in the sun or in the shade of centuries-old trees.
